Wet Floor Update - Anti-Freeze!!!! 200 1992

I have a 1992 245 with about 73,000 miles. Ok, here's an update. This afternoon I decided to tackle my wet driver's side floor. I thought that my windshield might be leaking and causing the wet floor. I got the seat out of the way and pulled up the carpet. I noticed that the underside of the carpet felt oily. I took up the floor padding and the foam underside of the padding was saturated with Anti-Freeze. So I suspected a leaking heater core or busted hose. I pulled off some of the plastic trim that goes around the center of the dash board and looked for leaks. (None noted.) I started the car and cranked up the heater, but I didn't observe any leaks from the heater core or hoses going to the heater core. Any suggestions for how I can test the system to find the leak? I filled up the radiator overflow tank to the full mark and I will watch it carefully for loss of coolant. It really looks like a bear to replace that heater core and hoses! Urgh!
