High volume oil leak from passenger-back of block??? 200 1986

I have a 245 dl that sprung a bad oil leak. After some research I am still stumped. The leak is on the bottom-back-passenger side of the block. Is there a sending unit for the oil pressure there? There seems to be a nipple where a hose might have attached? The manual doesnt say. This is my only car and any knowledge would be much appreciated!!
