need help with 240t 200 81

I'm having the strangest thing happen to me on my 81 turbo. It runs fine, except after extended periods of time under full boost, or straight up full boost in general. After going up a hill or something it seems to run really really rich. It bogs down under any throttle position except for wide open. To get it to run normal i have to shut the car off and wait about 5 mins, and then everything is back to normal. I unplugged the cold start injector thinking it might be malfunctioning to no avail, i also tried unplugging the fuel pressure regulator, which didn't really help either. would this indicate a bad fuel pressure regulator, or should i try rebuilding my air mass meter. Any clues to solving my mystery would be greatly appreciated.
