Fuel rail 900 194

My 1994 960 has a leaking fuel rail. At the butt end close to the radiator there is a round plug that is leaking fuel mostly when it is cold. My mechanic "gouped" it with some heavy duty epoxy/liquid steel. Worked for 700-800 miles, but now seems to be leaking (not as bad) again. Should I just replace the entire fuel rail. WHAT WAS THE PLUG FOR ANYWAY?? Great car, drive it like hell and I drive it like I hate it, just like the old Volvo ads.
