Hey all,
Is there any generic parts that you know of that fit onto volvo (i.e. things from GM, mitsubishi), i need some parts (air intake hose, volvo in australia wants $60 for a new one!! WHAT??!), the little "vaccum switch" that allows switching the vents from floor to face, to aircon, etc, (volvo wants, wait for it, $160!!! Get stuffed!), and little bits and pieces, i am gonna do the electric fan conversion too, and also see if a generic GM radiator out of a commodore (a car model over here, very popular, so cheap) will be able to be squeezed in (it is a v6, so i doubt i'd have cooling troubles, will check obvious, such as rated pressure, etc), i'd also like to try the fitting of a GM alternator (this has been done somewhere else, can't remember what mods it needed, but these alternators run out about 140amps at full power, SWWEEEEETTT, and my stereo draws 70amp when turned up, so, yes, at night my battery does start going flat!!), so odds and ends, i am gonna spend half a day just dismatling other cars (pick yourself type place), so all should be sweet, i'll update all the parts/part numbers of interesting stuff that may fit when i bring it all home :o).
