Re: Stalling Problem 700 1990

the only thing about the crank sensor is it's only used in starting according to my manual (maybe I read it wrong?). It DID go tango uniform on my 90 740T a couple years ago and resulted in a no-start. There is a specific test using the IDU to check the lack of signal from said crank sensor.

BTW, I think I just fixed my intermittent stalling problem...I replaced the ignition amplifier (11 years, 108K, maybe it was just TIME) and it didn't stall out in its normal place (where its been stalling on the ride home for a couple days). The computer codes I was getting was the one for an oxygen sensor and amm signal missing. The O2 sensor checked out ok (rapid swings between .2 and .8 volts at idle) and the amm was a long shot.
