Front seals: how to keep shafts from turning during removal 200 80

I have some questions about changing out the front seals on my 80 242 gt:

1) I am worried that when I go to take the bolts off of the intermediate and crank shafts that they will turn when i try to remove the bolts. i can always realign them, and will make sure they are aligned even if i don't think they will move,

2) but i am wondering what is the best technique for making sure they don't move. can i use hand tools? a breaker bar if necessary? it is a manual transmission.

3) can i access the flywheel and restrain it as my Haynes manual says? what about the intermediate shaft? (cam seal has been done. one last thing.

4) do i have to worry about messing up the harmonic balancer? just what is a harmonic balancer? does it just refer to the timing marks?

thanks,

abe
