OEM CD Changer Adapter Stuff 900 1995

Bricksters,

I just wanted your opinion on compatability of CD Changer adapters and changer types.

My 1995 940 has a CR-915 radio with changer controls on it. I presume I need the 601 series changer and not the 604. Is this correct?

I am planning to buy the VOLALP adapter for $50 from River Oaks Car Stereo http://www.installer.com/adapt.html. I presume that the VOLIL will not work and is for later models.

That is, unless somebody on the post has one for sale, I will buy theirs.

I also see the VOL2502 from Sylvester Electronics at http://www.sylves.com/oechanger/changers.htm listed as compatable. Has anybody used this adapter? They do not list a price.

Do I need an M Bus Alpine 6-disk changer unit(probably model CHM-S611 or CHM-S601)? My research has led me this far, but I wanted the opinion of somebody who has done this before.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Keep your bricks rolling.......
