Re: How do I avoid DEER? ALL 89

Haroon,

I live in Massachusetts, a bit North of Don F & have more than my share of deer in the road. I've tied a buck rack on the front of my 740 hoping the doe will notice & move quick at the thought of an encounter. Think about it, if you were a female deer & saw a "Brick Size Buck" 740 Turbo Wagon coming your way would you not move, or at least turn around to prepare for the impact rather than stand there in a daze sideways ? At the very least get excited???

If it's a buck in the road, he may feel like a challenge is out there and charge the "Brick Buck" providing more room to avoid the collision, I think. Or at the very least, provide for a more interesting impact if you can see it coming.

Just kidding with all of this. I have heard that hitting a deer, moose or anything else of that size bites the big one and wrecks your car never mind your physical well being.

The thing about "large wildlife in the road" is that they do not carry collision insurance. That in itself does su**. It's tough enough on the road as it is without being wrecked by someone or something that cannot cover the deductable.
