Re: Insurence HELP /stupid long story 200 1989

Damn, i thought i had problems (read air con firework display) but i really am sorry for you. i nearly pissed myself laughing when i read this.

On a serious note if your making an insurance claim include copies of service bills and any other expences you have paid on the car to back your claim value up. Insurance companies are real bitch,s in the UK i assume this is a world wide thing, so they wont offer you what you insured your car for, remember you dont have to accept the first offer as they may better this and allow you more.

example, my car got wrote off the 1st offer was for £1800, i declined and the rung 3 hrs later and offered £3000, i accepted.

If the insurance company dont want to scrap your car try getting some quotes for repairs about 3 should do and send copies to ins comp if they pay up get the parts from the breakers yard and fit them yourself and you will profit from this unfortunate scenario.

By the way only put down what was damaged in the crash anything else and the ins comp WILL find out they are very good at this.

Cant you sue the twat who pranged you or make a claim of his insurance(thats how ins works in UK) it sounds like it was obviosly his fault if he was hammered.

Hope this helps
