zf pinion seal leak 200 1987

hello, Ive got a small trickle of a leak on my steering rack where the steering shaft goes into the rack, I belive it is the pinion seal. has anyone had this? I am wondering if some new AtF in the steering rack with some of that "Stop Leak" stuff would work?
