Sorry....but what is a 965? 900 92

I've been surfing along for a couple months now and I've got to know.....what is a 965?!?!!!! The "5" is throwing me for several loops!

Sorry for the dumb question. Although I'm a Ford guy at heart, I must admit, I'm a Volvo convert. I married into a Volvo family (in-laws drive 740/S90, sister-in-law drives an identical 940 8-valve (to my wife), brother-in-law a '92 960) - and there are NO mechanics in the bunch - except for me.

Regarding other the recent posts bashing/defending the sixes, I must concur, the ‘92 960 was by far, the most troublesome of the bunch.

And to think the first thing I was going to do after getting hitched was sell that slow, boxy Swedish mule for a bit of American ingenuity (er...that was five years ago, mates). I must admit, I’m sold on the B230F. Love it, love it, love it!
