Fuel sender 200 83

OK, removed rear wagon deck cover, removed access plate for top of fuel tank, and using piece of wood, banged top of sending unit and fuel guage worked!!!!! No more fantastic gas milage and always full tank. Guage dropped to about 1/4 tank which with miles driven on trip meter seemed close.

Until I filled it up. Now I am getting the worlds worse milage. Filled it up and used it all just starting the car. Guage never got above 1/4 tank.

Don Foster, what stuck on yours and how did you fix it. I'll pull mine out but would like to know if a trip to the salvage yard is in order first in case it could be damaged beyond repair??

Thanks

Duane
