buying 145s 200 1981

ok all you 140 fans lissen up. hehe. now that i have your attention ..ahem anyway i have a 1981 242 with ye old reliable B21A setup (like really reliable!!)anyway theres a 1970 145s for sale locally and as they say its seen better days, but its from alberta originally so rust is minimal but its there. the motor( B20)has the twin carb setupetc. it hasn;t been on the road in over a year, but its going very cheap.. should i get rid of my 242 and jump in with this one... what are the weak points to these 14o's. when i went to see it, the seller couldn't even get it to start,(even though it would spin over) and said it was putting out white smoke before she laid it up..comments?
