hard-to-operate door handle 200 79

The door handle on the driver's side is hard to get to work. It feels as if both ends of the should be pulling, but only one end (close to the edge of the door)seems to apply a pulling force. It opens, but only after a hard pull right at the end that works.

Does anyone know how to fix it? I've looked at the door and can't see anything different from the passenger side door.
