Trouble Starting when Wet 200 1983

Hi, I own a 1983 240DL and it runs great in all conditions (including cold in the dead of winter) except when it's wet. When it's wet, It is very difficult to start and when it's REALLY wet I sometimes even have to rollstart it. Once I do manage to get it started, It runs horribly until it's warmed up (If you press the accelerator, the engine kind of stutters and slows down the car). With summer here with all it's rain, this gets REALLY annoying. Any idea what's wrong? I was thinking spark plug wires, but I haven't replaced anything yet. Thanks.
