Oops! I'm trying to remove the front struts on my '92 740T wagon in order to install new Bilstein cartriges. How do I remove the stut itself from where it appears to go in at the bottom of the spindle? What do the two 17mm bolts hold that are at the bottom on either side of the strut? Does the strut just set into a pocket on the spindle and can I carefully use a large pipe wrench? I dont have an impact wrench to remove the nut on the top so Im removing the entire strut to get more leverage. So-o-o the quicker your response the less time Ill spend drinking beer. Bob Walter
