Repair of Rear Window mounted brake light 700 1989

Here is a tip that should apply to any Volvo owner who has experienced their rear brake light comming unglued and falling off of the rear window.

My 1989 780 had this problem. After many trips to the Volvo Dealer who was either unable or unwilling to spend the time to fix this problem, I arrvived at an inexpensive solution.

VELCRO TAPE! I purchased a roll of Black Velcro Tape, cut it so that it would fit the outline etched on the rear window and the face of the light fixture. Once taped the light never fell off again and the velcro allows you to pull the light fixture off of the window should you ever need to replace the bulb!

VOLVO should take a lesson from this hint and put a VOLVO

Part Number on VELCRO TAPE! After all Velcro and Volvo both start with a V!
