Where do i hook up a boost gauge??? what vacuum line do i connect it to so that my gauge that reads 0-30 psi can tell me what psi my boost is at??? i have a 91 740 turbo. i am thinking it is the little short vacuum line (like 3-4 inches long) that goes from the bottom of the turbo(is this the waste gate?????) to the side of it(where it measures engine vacuum RIGHT????). i am not very sure of this. i have connected it to other lines that go to intake manifold but those all just read engine vacuum so nothing great.. and under the dash the vacuum line from gauge cluster reads from like 20-0-20(but is not numbered just colors) or something like that so i can't hook it up to that line so i can't connect my gauge i got to that. Do i need to get a gauge that goes from like 20-0-20 to read the boost properly???? Or is there a way to make this one that i have work. i have seen other people with the 0-30 like mine but i have yet to talk to them about it seeing that in the last 4 hours i started this project and am stumped now. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
