volvo gremlins cutting out fuel/overboost 200 83glti

Hey guys

The other day I was adjusting overboost on my 83 242 and at one point I disconnected the vacuum hose at the switch. At max boost of around 9 or 10 psi the same cutout occurred!Without any input to the overboost switch.

Do you think there are little swedish gremlins(the good ones)inside my motor watching over me?
