Mark, FYI.

According to my Haynes manual, p 6-3, the EZ116K ignition system diagnostic code 2-1-4 translates to "Speed Sender signal missing or sender faulty". There is not a translation for "214" in the LH2.4 and 3.1 Jetronic diagnostic code table. Furthermore, the only Jetronic codes that generate "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT =ON" are 112, 113, 121, 123, 212, and 221.

You might want to reset the system and see which code gets regenerated. Ask others if there is a downside to doing this. You're on your own for the risk.
