Still no heat...I've tried this.... 700 1988

1) Fan works OK, blows air on every speed setting

2) Tried forcing heater control valve (the one in the engine compartment) open - no change in lack of heat

3) Removed glovebox, air door to heater core was closed, after engine was warmed up. Propped it open, still no heat

4) The engine speed changes depending upon what setting the slider control is on: AC, Low AC, Vent, Floor, Defrost. Changes at each one, Normal?

5) The vacuum control thingy under the dash, that controls the air doors to the heater core: Where does it's vacuum hose connect in the engine compartment? (Like maybe I've got a problem with it also?)

6) Is there any other valve, etc, inside the car that keeps hot water from the heater core?

7) Should you be able to feel the heater core heat thru the plastic housing under the dash? (Mines cold)

8) I'm going to try disconnecting the heater valve, and gently running water thru with a garden hose to see if I have blocked circulation - bad/good idea?

Thanks for the expert advice!
