As for the wheels - they are a fairly common 5X4.5 pattern, which is shared by other much more common 60's cars like Fords, Mopars, AMC, and Jeeps. You just probably can't go too wide - there isn't as much room under the fenders as there is on a big ol' Ford Torino. Chevy wheels won't fit, though. They are on a 4.75 bolt pattern.

One particular cool vintage style wheel is the American Racing Torq-Thrust D:

Nice curvy lines, and not too flashy. I've been looking for a set of these for my '63 544.
