Autozone brake pads? 200 1987

Anyone have opinions/experience with using the standard semi-metalic brake pads (made by Albany) sold by Autozone and other stores on Volvos? I've used them before with no trouble at all on several different cars, but no Volvos. I'd like to use them on my new-to-me '87 245 because my local Autozone is just a mile away- it's cheap and convenient. I also want the brakes to work as well as possible, so any suggestions about the different pad brands available would be appreciated.

Anything special about Volvo brakes or pads that's not in the Bentley manual that I need to know before doing a brake job?
