crankshaft to ac belt - what's the trick? 200 198

i am trying to replace the belts on my 240gl, 1988, with ac and i can't figure out how to get the crankshaft to ac belt off. it looks like there is an additional bolt that holds the compressor in place on a bracket (sort of directly below the distributor) and i can't see how anyone could ever reach it.

any tips on how to either get to this bolt or sneak the belt on without moving the compressor would be appreciated . . . i am trying to do this job today so i can use the car tomorrow . . .

many thanks.
