Embarrassing Ramp Question 700 1992

Bought a set of Rinho ramps, liked them the first time I used them, then read the directions about when to brake when driving on.

Drove over them.....(Damn those directions. Makes a heckuva noise, but didn't seem to do much damage to ramps or car)

My pride is hurt, any advice on how to drive onto these things safely? Or should I admit my weaknesses and go back to jacks/jackstands?
