Bouncy idle and "whistle"??? 200 82

1982 240 GL B23E. Still got the idle problem. If I open the throttle valve just a hair I hear a "whistle". I recently cleaned the TB and now the whistle is evident at idel when I first start it uop in the morning. Is my throttle flap just out of adjustment? (Tthe idle at neutral is a little high, but she stalls out if I adjust the rest idle to 900 and put it under load). The other weird one is that I can find no evidence of a throttle position switch/sensor. There are no electrical connectors anywhere near the TB!!! Unfortunately the last owner removed a lot of original equipment from this baby, and i have removed some more (ie. That wretched pulsair!!! and the perpetually failing EGR). Any thoughts on my baby?
