stalling in hot weather when ac on 900 91

My 91 940 GLE is always stalling when I come to a stop on a hot day while my A/C is running. If I turn the A/C off and throw the car into Neutral it may bring my RPM up to 500. If the A/C is on and I'm at a complete stop then the RPMs drop to about 400. It is especially bad when I come to a sudden stop after travelling at fast speeds. Could this be an idle valve problem or is it the Oxygen sensor like the onboard computer is telling me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
