240 Brake Lights 200 85

Hello

I have just purchased a 240 DL sedan as my daughter's first Volvo. The car runs great has 221K from the original owner. However the brake lights are intermitant. I can not seem to find the fault. Chased all wires looking for shorts. In my troubleshooting it appears I have also activated the idiot light on the dashboard for bulb out. I really need some help here on the brake lights.

On the side. I am also looking for a rack for this car.
