Initial impressions of PBR Deluxe pads 700 88

Well I replaced my pads yesterday with PBR Deluxe pads. The only difference, physically, is that there is no gap in the pads as there is on Volvo pads which were replaced. I am therefore comparing the PBR pads to Volvo pads.

After a 100Km break-in period I notice the following:

On the highway, the car slows very well with only a slight touch of the pedal. Excellent.

In the city, the car will sometimes stop very well, similar to the Volvo pads but with squealing (and all the measures have been taken). At other times, the car will not slow down unless significantly more pedal effort is applied, then the pads will suddenly "soften up" and the car will stop normally. Weird.

I think they are better on the highway, but worse in the city, compared to the Volvo pads. Maybe this will change with more use, I don't know. But they were certainly cheaper!

Rene
