SHE RUNS!!!! but....... 200 1980

Well, it took me almost a month and about 600 dollars worth of parts (i did all my own labor) but I finally got my 242 to start and stay started. Man was I excited. I don't think I could jump around that much again if you payed me. Anyway, she runs consistently and will stay running (at least while parked) but the idle is too low, the timing is off, and I need a new heater hose up top. Problem I'm having is the distributor has seized itself on the block. Basically I can't do a thing to adjust the timing. I sprayed the heck out of it yesterday five or six times with some penetrating lube to try and free it up and I will check on it today when I get out of work but if that doesn't work I'm not sure what else to do. Anybody have experiences with this kind of thing and if so how did you free the thing up? Also, am I correct in thinking that its just the timing and idle? The engine responds quickly to throttle but dies if I let off the gas also it will backfire a bit (not loud but noticeable) if I let it run slowly but not when its revving past about 1500. Last, the whole car vibrates badly when the engine is running and it sounds as though its misfiring.

Thanks for your help guys.
