Brake pads with wear sensors?? 900 95

Having been a dummy and not checked my rear brake pads often enough, I am now in for a little rotor machining after the wife said the car was making a "funny noise". A funny noise can be anythng from loose change rattling around in the ashtray (86 Toyota) to complete engine seizure (70 BMW). In this case, it was brake pad (metal part) rubbing brake rotor (also metal part). Luckily, it's not too bad.

Does anyone know of any brake pads for the Volvo 960 that have wear sensors to make a "funny noise" before the pads are completely gone? My Toyota Vans have them. My 61 Impala has them. Neither of my Volvos has them.
