WHEN DRAINING THE 4 SPD WITH OD TRANSMISSION ON MY '88 740T AN APPROXIMATELY 6 MM BALL BEARING CAME OUT ALONG WITH THE OIL. THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT MAKE ANY UNUSUAL SOUNDS BUT I DO HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME SHIFTING INTO FIRST WHEN AT REST. THIS LOOKS LIKE A DETENT BEARING. IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT DETENTS ARE INSTALLED FROM THE OUTSIDE. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT CAN BE REPLACED W/O TAKING THE TRANNY OUT OR DOING A REBUILD. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME IN THIS WEB SITE AND I AM VERY PLEASED AT THE WEALTH OF GREAT INFORMATION. GREAT JOB!!!! ALSO IS THERE A RELAY DIAGRAM FOR THE 740'S? I'M TRYING TO LOCATE THE HORN RELAY. (IF THERE IS ONE.)
