1975 242GL 38K - Good restoration project?? 200 1975

I looked at a 1975 242GL this weekend.

The odometer says 38,000. Current owner says the car sat idle in Florida for many years.

Very little rust. Rocker panels look good. I forgot to check the front struts for rust. It has been repainted.

Black leather seats are badly cracked, both front and back. Dashboard is cracked. It must have sat idle in the Florida sun.

The car is not running. Owner says that if he jumped started, it would run OK for a few minutes and then stall. He thinks it is a "rusty gas tank" problem. He says he dropped the tank, flushed it out, replaced the fuel pump; no change. He says he has driven it locally for several years, but it stopped running about six months ago.

Can this car be restored or should it be junked?
