too much fuel or air? how to fix it? B20 '75 200 1975

Thanks to a brickboarder it seems my '75 245 isn't getting the right ratio of air/fuel. it starts, runs for a few seconds, then dies. does this several times, then won't start at all. anyone have any suggestions on what to check and how to check it? does the cold start injector provide enough gas to run the motor for a few seconds? help! THanks! -Rob
