Not knowing the size of the compressor, I can help you there. You'll just need to dind a good spot close to the front. Will the long horns fit in front of the radiator behind the grill?

What I would do is use the existing horn wire to trigger a relay. This would be the low current side. This low side could be thought of as your existing horn circuit. Push horn button relay clicks (switches). On the switched high side will be your new compressor this will need to be fused and the power source will indeed be the +12V from the battery. Use the little bus bar on the inner fender right next to the battery. (It has a bunch of red wires to it) The relay, wires and fuse (20 amp?) should be available at NAPA.
