Brake line woes. Can't seem to bleed. 200 84

Ok, I'm stumped. I changed one of the two metal brake lines that go from the rubber hose to the caliper after it failed leaking lots of fluid. After that, I got ready to bleed the caliper cylinder and absolutely nothing comes out. no air, no fluid, no nothing. I then took the bleeder nipple all the way out and nothing. Suspecting the brake circuit failure piston warning device, I took the sensor wire off (was already disconnected... thus no warning light.) removed the pin and again nothing. I then cracked the line going into the caliper cylinder and fluid leaked out. What gives? BTW, I dropped and lost the little pin that sets off the pressure differential light. Any problem other than the warning light not working? Any ideas on how to bleed the cylinder? Thanks a million.
