24 hour ghost starting delay...what the heck is this? 200 1989

OK. I've tried to ask about this before, but the car just continues to do what it likes.... Wife's '89 244> 134K miles; good mainenance. If she uses the 245 for a while and the '89 sits for, say, 4 weeks then we have weird starting problem. Did it yesterday. Went out, hit the starter, fired first revolution then died. Turned over fine after that but would never start. Check ECU readout...1-1-1, good. Rolled fuses. I've already replaced the left fender well blade fuse with ipd kit. Checked bat connections, various other connections. Charged battery. Same. Tonight came home, stuck in key, turned over, started right up. What the heck is this????? Been doing it for 3 years. Ghosts?? Help. Dennis
