Re: Cruise Control 200 1984

Matt -

T'aint easy but it can be done. You need to get absolutely everything out of the donor car. The speedometer cable hook-up may give you trouble. Remember the pulley on the throttle linkage, and the switches or valves on the brake and (if applicable) clutch pedals. Make a lot of notes about every component. Where is goes, what wires hook on, whether or not there seems to be a factory-made characteristic to it. Everything. Take pictures if possible.

The 1981 system is likely a vacuum-driven system. If so, there's a large diaphragm actuator that changes to throttle position. The rubber part of it goes out and is expensive - if you can find one at all.

It will be a lot of work.

Good Luck,

Bob
