Temperature 200 1993

AT speeds of 80/85 with ac on, temperature goes almost to the top, just before the red zone, when I turn the ac off, it goes down to normal.

If I slow down to 65 I can leave the ac on and temp stays normal.

In city traffic temp get's high, and takes longer to come back down.

I don'd think the engine is overhating I think is the "temperature compensation card" (was just replaced about 5000 miles ago)is thats is bad. Is the ac making it act this way? and why?.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tony P.
