My turbo charger blows oil past its seals what can I do? 200 84 glti

My car just recently started smoking terribly I know it is not the engine because it runs fine, has good compression and clean spark plugs still.

thus the turbo must be the culprit. does anyone know what part is common to fail and cause this problem? If so is it an expensive repair and how is it done? Also the turbo is boosting just normal and will blow the waste gate still if it has to so I assume it is for the most part still good. And finally should I stop driving the car untill I fix it?

P.s it is a watercooled turbo.

Thank YoU!!

Steve
