Yes , your car probably came with the Mitsubishi turbo;TD05-12B is the large, early one.

I'd guess your waterpump leak is coming from the pump to head gasket, a fairly common spot.

There's no seal in the front of the pump; just the one behind the bleed hole.

You'll need to pull the pump to replace the gasket.
