S-t-i-l-l No Heat...I've tried: 700 1988

740 Turbo, Autotrans, manual Heat/AC controls

.Got car two weeks ago, heat was not working then. Since then I've:

-Replaced thermostat

-Bled hoses of air

-Forced heater control valve to full flow

-Tested flow in/out of firewall through two heater hoses: Good flow

-Both hoses hot when car warmed up

-Even flushed thru hoses with clean water - good flow

- Vacuum hose to main interior vacuum control panel in place

-Vacuum getting to control panel thru main hose (pulled panel to check)

-Can see/hear doors moving when I switch from one setting to another

(but not sure if doors on drivers side footwell are moving 'cause they're hidden)

-Minor hissing for a few seconds that drops off/stops as doors move

-Can see manual heat control slider cable moving lever arm and can hear door move inside housing behind glovebox.

-CANNOT feel any heat when touching black plastic housing under dash on passenger or driver side.

-AC doesn't work (clutch doesn't engage - but who cares now?)

-Air blows inside OK

- BUT Air is not even a hint warm!

Questins: Does it matter which of the two hoses going into the firewall is the intake, and which the outflow? The top one now is outflow.

What is next step, if any, before pulling core? Hell, do I even HAVE a core in there?!

OK, so if I need a new core, where to get one?

Any ideas are more than I have now - so thanks in advance.

Flinch
