Can I use Unleaded? How about tire pressure? 140-160 1970

I have a stock 1970 144s that has 90k on the original engine. The owners manual says to use 97 octane leaded fuel! Since I can only get unleaded here in NJ, should I use a lead "additive" or octane boost? It doesn't ping on premium unleaded (93).

Also, the manual says the tires should be 23-front/30-rear psi maximum. With the manual steering a bit heavy in these cars and better tires today, can I go with higher pressure? I was thinking of increaing to 30-f/35-r psi. What do you think?
