Instrument Gremlins 700 84

My reliable & hearty 760T has a case of intermitant electrical faults in the instrument panel. With lights turned on, the odometer needle fluctuates from 0 to 30 or so. Stabilizes when I take off. (2) The tachometer is inoperative. (3) The voltmeter jumped all over the place, which convinced me to swap out the whole panel. I replaced it with an assembly from an 85 740T. Everything matches up. When I plug it in, the tach is still inoperative, and the odometer jumps all over when the lights are turned on. Voltmeter though reads 14 or so.

Any one else out there been down a similar road? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Robert
