It will take some time, and a good bit of patience, but this job is definitely doable - with one possible complication in your case. Your 242 has a larger door, and hence a larger window, and therefore it probably has a different size regulator (that X-shaped device that pulls the glass down or pushes it up.) I'm not 100% sure about this, but someone else probably knows. The motor and all wiring should be perfectly compatible.

I plan to do this job on my 244 in the near future.
