'88 Ignition Control Unit Problem Solved. ALL 1988

Thanks Rob and r haire (maybe Rob as well).

The problem seems to have been this unit. Spraying contact cleaner into both the male and female 10 pin socket seems to have rectified the problem.

Wife is happy!
