Re: How fast or slow is your car? 200 1983

Zero to sixty is less easy to calculate with formulas due to variables like traction and shift points, but there are formulas that are pretty accurate that can be used to calculate time and trap speeds for cars with various horsepower over the quarter mile. 3200 pounds for a 1983 240 Wagon with driver would be about as light as it could possibly be, and with only 111 horsepower when new and in perfect tune, it is not going to go anywhere very fast. With twice that horsepower, it would be entertaining. That is why I like turbos. With relatively mild and inexpensive modifications, they can make plenty of horsepower. They typically cost more to buy new and more to maintain, however.
