Steering makes odd grinding noise when being turned 200 1981

After recently replacing my front break pads, my steering makes a really odd grinding noise. Its very similar to when your 240 is in reverse, and you've got a little bit of speed goin. It only makes the noise when I turn as well. What could be the cause and solution to this problem ?
