ignition switch wiring & hella engine kit 200 1987

They're not related.. just two questions.

1) I am unfamiliar with car wiring but I found info in my Bentley manual that tells me where I can find a switched wire in the car. I have found the wire I want ( I think ) but it is way up and out of the way on the back of the ignition switch. It looks like the wires go back behind the center console but I'm not sure. I'm just trying to find a better place to wire up 12v accessories for the interior rather then right behind the ignition switch. Also just so that I'm not being stupid: the correct place to wire up 12v accessories is from the ignition wires, right?

2) I bid on and won a 'hella 3 piece engine tune up kit' or something on ebay. It had all the rest of the tools I needed to do a 30k service and for $30 it seemed decent. Anyone else have one of these? I don't have it yet to review it.... take a look. There are still 3 or 4 of these on there. I hope it's worth 30 bucks.
